How Lisa's TMJ Mouth Pillow Provides Relief

Lisa’s Mouth Pillow is designed to relieve TMJ discomfort by encouraging the optimal jaw position. Here’s how it works:

  • Optimal Jaw Positioning: Lisa’s TMJ Mouth Pillow holds the jaw slightly open in its neutral position, which is optimal for reducing pressure on the TMJ and helping your muscles to relax.

  • Muscle Relaxation: By maintaining the jaw in a relaxed, open position, Lisa’s TMJ Mouth Pillow helps prevent muscle overactivity and spasms in jaw-closing muscles. This tension overworks the jaw muscles and causes pain and discomfort.

  • Helps Prevent Teeth Clenching and Grinding: Having Lisa's TMJ Mouth Pillow comfortably in your mouth discourages unconscious clenching and grinding, common triggers for TMJ pain.

  • Jaw Extension Benefits: Extending your jaw slightly forward improves joint alignment by aligning your jaw in a more natural and relaxed position, and easing tension in your jaw muscles, which improve your joint function. The Personal Positioning Ridges help you maintain this position easily.
